CNAME Records in Hosting
In case you have a hosting plan from our company and you would like to set up a CNAME record, it'll take you a few clicks to get it done. You can access the DNS records for all domain names and subdomains hosted within your account via the Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every plan and adding a new record is as basic as clicking on a button, selecting the type, which will be CNAME in this case, inputting the actual record value and saving the modification. If you've never added this type of record before, we have a Help section with a detailed video tutorial that you can watch, or you can simply contact us and we will assist you with this task. If you have set up a site using another company, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you want to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different company, for example Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of mouse clicks inside your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
You're going to be able to set up, edit and delete CNAME records very easy with any one of our semi-dedicated server plans. The accounts are handled via the custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel, and in one of its sections you will see all records for any domain name or subdomain you have added in your account. To create a new record, you just need to select the hostname which will be forwarded (domain/subdomain), type in where it is going to be forwarded to, choose the record type, which will be CNAME in this case, and you will be ready. Even when you have never used a web hosting service before, our CP is quite easy to use, so you will not have any difficulties. We also have a short video and a detailed help article regarding how to create a CNAME record, both of which can be found in the same section of Hepsia. With this function, you could easily use a domain address hosted on our groundbreaking cloud hosting platform for a website created someplace else, create a custom webmail login address with any of your domain names, plus much more.
